Whooping cough cases increase

Cases of whooping cough (pertussis) reported to the Health Protection Agency (HPA) in England and Wales have more than doubled from 421 cases in 2010 to 1040 in 2011. Telephone consultations are available each morning after surgery. Patients who wish to arrange a telephone consultation are requested to phone in the morning and will be asked to leave a contact telephone number and details of symptoms. The doctor will return the call.
